ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Computer Science and Applications was established in the College in 1998 with the introduction of Bachelor of Computer Applications affiliated to the Punjab University. The college gained the status of a Post Graduate institution with the introduction of M.Sc. (Information Technology) in 2001. In addition to that, now the department is running Computer Science as elective subject in BA and B.Sc. The department has 4 latest, well equipped air conditioned labs with 24 hour internet and Wi-fi facility. The department has well qualified and experienced staff for teaching and technical support.

A person who has passed one of the following examinations (i) B.C.A. /B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science, Information Technology from the PU or (ii) B.C.A./ B.Sc. (Hons) in Computer Science, Mathematics and computing (iii) Any other graduation with Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Applications and Mathematics from University recognized by PU.
Non-Centralised Admission (Based on Merit)

i) 10 +2 in any discipline with at least 50% marks and passed Mathematics as one of the subject at Matric level or ii) Any other examination with 50 % marks, recognized by the Syndicate as equivalent to (i) iii) 10 % weightage each subject who has done +2 with Math, Statistics, Computer Science, computer Application, Information Technology. iv) 20% weightage in total to those students who studied (Mathematics/statistics) & (Computer Science, Computer Application, Information Technology or Information system)
